In the Trebuchet Project we built trebuchets. What is a trebuchet you might ask? A trebuchet is a medieval warfares machine that hurled or as Tina would say "Yeet!" object such as stones and and balls of fire. To Start out the project we learned all about gravity, velocity, acceleration, projectile motion. Gravity for those of you who don't know is what make objects fall don't to the earth. Velocity is what is the speed of an object in a given direction. Acceleration is and object capacity to gain speed in a certain time period. Projectile motion is the motion of a object that is in motion that is through near the earth surface and moves in a curved path. In this project we make a prototype trebuchet that was made out of popsicle sticks.
In this project we had to some 21ST century skills. Such as collaboration. I used collaboration because we were working in groups of 4 to 5 people. For this was a little hard because sometime thing that I told people to do they needed help doing and weren't telling me that. Another 21st century skill is critical thinking. I used this when I was building the final trebuchet. I have to take my vision for what the final product and actually build it.The final 21st century skill I used was creativity. I used this when I was coming up with ideas and collaborating both my ideas and the most effective trebuchets. In the project there where a lot of ups and down. Some of the down where getting started. It was really hard to get your vision to become and actual project. I also had some trouble with my partners because they didn't know what to do so I felt I had to do every thing. In the end I just left them to fifer things out. The main reason that I didn't I felt I have to do everything is because I am a leader when it comes to groups. When I would take charge and give people projects to do they would have trouble getting started so I would try to help them but instead I would just do it my self. In the end I had to step away and let my partners figure it out.
